Nikki Hinske

PARTNER, CO-FOUNDER

Nikki is a co-founder of Hinske & Clarey, having previously been an owner of Oakley and Hinske LLC, a predecessor firm since 2004.

 

She began her career in public accounting at a large CPA firm in downtown Charleston where she focused on taxation. She then moved to a boutique CPA firm, working closely with senior partner Victoria Oakley, CPA and growing her focus in start-up accounting, foreign taxation and other business consulting. Nikki and Victoria were partners until Victoria’s retirement in 2005, at which time Katie Clarey joined the firm.

Today, Nikki takes pride in her firm’s ability to provide valuable advice and resources for small to mid-size businesses within a variety of industries. From education at start-up, consulting in growing stages and finally, retirement and selling of a business, Nikki looks well beyond simple tax minimization and preparation to create value for her clients.

 

She also enjoys helping sophisticated individual investors with complex tax planning and maximizes cost savings from all angles. She has extensive experience assisting sophisticated investors with complex investments such as hedge funds and foreign investments and emphasizes tax planning for individuals.

Nikki earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the College of Charleston and became a licensed Certified Public Accountant in 2001. She then obtained a Master’s degree in Accountancy from The University of Charleston to further her knowledge in the areas of tax and accounting.

Hobbies / Personal

Nikki enjoys traveling, music, Pilates, baking and spending time with her family and friends. She and her husband Joe Hinske reside on Daniel Island and have two boys, Ryan and Jack and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Zoe.
