Katie serves as Managing Member of Hinske & Clarey, LLC overseeing the operational side of the firm. She and Nikki Hinske have worked together for over a decade. Katie began working in public accounting at a local public firm in downtown Charleston, South Carolina during her graduate studies. She quickly focused on taxation, an area in which she always enjoyed and excelled in both undergraduate and graduate school. In 2005 Katie was recruited as a staff accountant at Oakley & Hinske LLC.

 

She is a licensed CPA, a member of the AICPA, the SC Association of Certified Public Accountants and is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor. She has vast experience in complex tax matters for corporate clients in all industries as well as with individual tax clients. Today, Katie continues to serve numerous tax and business consulting clients, many within the contracting and construction industry. She also enjoys consulting with owners of start-up businesses.

In 2001, Katie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from The College of Charleston and a Master's degree in Accountancy from The University of Charleston.

Katie enjoys traveling, Pilates, yoga, boating, or just relaxing with friends and family. She lives with her husband Ryan and their three children, Billy, Gus, and Cora, in Mount Pleasant. They have a black lab named Brenna and a black cat named Cat.
